Puerto Plata’s cable railway – Hill Isabel de Torres

The cable railway in Puerto Plata os a great place for a passionate adventure. Just outside the city, the station features two cars that make the trip to the hill’s 800 meters.

From the top, an amazing view of Puerto Plata, also known as “the Atlantic Ocean’s Bride”, can be enjoyed.

An additional ingredient tops the sight: a replica of Rio de Janeiro’s Christ guards the summit.

The top of this mountain also features a beautiful garden with colorful flowers that perfum the air, and a typical restaurant completes the offer.
Sometimes, the mist covers the summit, caressing every visitor.

This cable railway is the only one in the country, which makes it the local’s pride and joy.
