This little town on the north coast, located just 15 kilometers from Gregorio Luperon’s International Airport, offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere just as its neighbor Cabarete.
Its multiracial charm, makes Sosúa a wonderful place to interact with people from all over the world.
Sosúa is somwhat divided in two: to one side, the public beach, to the other, the private areas with its resorts. Typical little shops abound on the public side. Chairs and umbrellas are rented and refreshments are sold.
In town, a synagoge with an interesting Jewish museum tells the story of the Jew comunity that arrived and stayed after the war.
On the main street, bars, bakeries and restaurants abound, featuring a medley of nationalities. Souvenirs, arts and crafts can be found practically in every corner.
